By using jipbap you agree to this. It is short on purpose.
What jipbap is
You tell it what is in your kitchen; it tells you what you can cook, what you are an item or two short of, and what to buy. It keeps a grocery list and a record of what you cooked.
It is a finding tool, not a cookbook. We do not write the recipes. For each one we show a title, a source, an ingredient list and a link. The method lives on the site that published it, and that is where we send you.
Your privacy is covered by the Privacy Policy.
The allergen and dietary filters are not a safety check
jipbap can hide recipes containing things you have excluded. Do not rely on it if getting it wrong would hurt you.
- Our ingredient data is machine-assigned and only partly reviewed. It has errors.
- An ingredient list is not a label. "Gochujang" does not tell us whether that jar contains wheat. The jar in your hand does.
- Cross-contamination, shared equipment and reformulated products are invisible to anything we can see.
If an ingredient can hurt you, read the packet. This filter narrows a list. It does not clear anything to eat.
Likewise, "you have everything" is a claim about what you told us is in your kitchen, not about whether the jar is empty or the scallions turned.
What it costs
Nothing, and that is not a trial. jipbap is free to use, and we do not intend to ever charge you for it: there is no subscription, no premium tier and no card.
It is paid for by commission on some grocery links, described below.
Affiliate links
Some links to a grocer earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. They are marked wherever they appear. We are not the seller: what you buy is between you and that grocer, on their terms.
Recipes belong to whoever wrote them
If you published a recipe and want it out of jipbap, write to hello@jipbap.com and we will remove it. We will not ask you to justify it.
What you put in
Your pantry, your list, your notes and any recipe you enter are yours. We claim no ownership and we take only the permission needed to store it and show it back to you. Do not enter anything unlawful, and do not paste someone else's recipe text as your own.
No promises
jipbap is provided as is and as available, with no warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or correct. To the fullest extent the law allows we are not liable for any damages arising from using it, and our total liability for any claim is limited to fifty US dollars. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Using it properly
Do not scrape it in bulk, resell it, attack it, try to reach other people's
data, or use it to build a competing recipe dataset. Automated access needs
written permission; well-behaved search crawlers obeying robots.txt are fine.
Ending it
Stop whenever you like. We may cut off access that breaks the rules above, and we may stop offering jipbap. If we shut it down we will say so first and leave the export working until it happens.
Changes
We will post a new version here with a new effective date. If a change affects your rights or your data, we will say so in the app.
